wow. quite a few people i know got hitched just in dec 2009 alone. man... x_x the most recent one, bubear's jc classmate. and seriously...6 degrees of separation is way closer than you think! eek!!!!
feeling slightly comforted after talking to sc. just gotta endure the hardship. yeah, i'll say i try now but tml when i wake up and reach work place, wonder if i can still have that mindset.
new year's eve tml. thought of resolutions yet? i think the thinking is easy; as always the hard part is the sticking to them.
ARGH. I wanna go to the steamboat on 31st! BUT....i can't. :( Unless I prepare the dinner before i leave. sigh*. Sucks to be the only child srsly.
AHHHHH. Friends and relatives have been asking why i look so unhappy/angry. Simple answer to a simple question. Long forgotten how to smile since i took up this ~!@#$%^&*job. Yes. I *HATE* my job. Then the general response would be 'Who doesn't?'. So, I've decided. To imagine the boss being a zombie and me plonking it with a frying pan. Quite amusing actually. *Plonk, Plonk, Plonk* Or perhaps like a raid boss. After downing = get epic loot. Epic loot = pay. HA!
Truly Blessed indeed. Mom's finally home from the hospital. Couldn't knock off in time to go fetch her back, thankfully love helped me bring her home. >_< he's been really supportive during this difficult time, that i am truly grateful as well. the unofficial half day did became a half-day after all, Thank You God~! I guess I really shouldn't be so angry all the time. Things ARE indeed already been planned for. What may seem difficult/bad/terribad now eventually works out in a totally unexpected way. I am reminded of a certain phrase 'When God closes one door, He opens another.' It's almost ironic how time and time again this has been proven to me, no matter how i stubbornly refuse to believe it. Lol. Christmas this year is definitely quieter than usual for me and i am thankful for it being that way. =)
1. On this day of your life, we believe God wants you to know ... that every day you are choosing either to be grateful or to be disappointed.
You can worry to no end about what you don't have. Or you can marvel at God's breathtaking gifts: the morning dew, the sun, the clouds, the trees, the flowers, the birds. Could you create any of these? These miracles of life are always around you, ready to be celebrated, ready to be welcomed into your life.
2. Trying hard to be less hot tempered, trying hard to stay positive. Not really working eh. Anyway, worried about 23rd Dec. Urgh. But at the same time also looking forward to some good R&R on Christmas. Went for the Dim Sum Buffet at Peach Garden today with Lurfu. Lucky he booked it last week. High Tea was good! Quality and value for money. Only thing is...it's at Thomson Plaza. GAH! Submitted application for the Dawson Place. Dunno what's the chances man. Haha. Pray for the best! Not to jinx it or anything though. Still, hopefully that it'll come at a better time when im working somewhere else. *shrugs*
...are vast and infinite. :\ (will elaborate later)
anyway, went to Ebiboshi Shotengai at iluma with lurfu on friday evening. passed by there once or twice but didn't managed to get to try the food there. interesting concept. was particularly entertained by the RFID menus they had. hehe. used a pointer and tap on the menu to order the dishes. not bad at all! although after awhile...the robotic voice from the pointer that repeats your order gets a little annoying. lol. ordered 2 sets from the xmas menu. food was not bad but could be better.
went to L4D2 with the guys on saturday. as usual the lan shop was packed. mental note to self: do not use the toilet at the shop. so scary. >_< we completed 2 campaigns, the last stage of the 2nd campaign was @_@ kept getting swarmed by all the zombies. in the end, the frying pan is your best friend. *pong your way through all the heaps of zombies and have your screen splattered with blood. (bubear ask me to imagine my workplace people as the zombies when i one-shot them with the frying pan. LOL) anyway, in the end only dan managed to make it to the chopper. the 3 of us (me, love and jh) all died. so the last game was dedicated in memory of the 3 of us. HAHA. it's so moorbid that it's hilarious.
gotta start my search again. hopefully get out before probation. maybe, maybe not. unconfirmed but somewhat decided. time will tell.
mom's op will be on 23rd. sigh. wanna take leave but stupid unreasonable cat dunno will let me or not. feel like throwing letter if i dun get to. haha. RIGHT.
there are indeed many barriers to happiness. breaking them down truly requires change. wow definitely isn't helping much nowadays. sadly, money doesn't as well :X (for me anyway). perhaps i need to go seek something more meaningful to do. the msg for me on the fb application for today is:
On this day of your life, we believe God wants you to know ... that your task is not to seek for love, but to seek and melt all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. God loves you with the very air you breathe, the very light that touches your skin, the very ground that supports you. Love is everywhere, - melt your barriers, and you will have love in abundance.
HMM. *ponder ponder. anyway, now i kind of understand why working people splurge. i wonder if that helps. anyhow, i need to find a way to get past this. if not, it's gonna be a downward spiral to depression -_-"
dreadful december.
anyway, mom's checkup result came out on 4th dec. was not good at all. panicked, cried, lost. all of the above. thankfully there's always God to count on. eventually mom got over it faster than i did. definitely would have to go under the knife before christmas, really depends on what mom chooses.
still hating work, i guess the work itself is so-so (OK for now, will get worse nxt time), but the people are totally unacceptable....-_-" lurfu says that if i can tahan them, anywhere else would be a breeze. maybe... still pondering whether to give up, whether i should have taken the 2nd chance instead, wondering which is it that i really prefer....
wonder what are God's plan for me? why are times like these so difficult to get through...perhaps it's all part of the lesson and journey. *sigh.
