rhea on the left - doesn't its face look like a typical chick to you?
ostriches on the right (male is pink, female the other) with eggus! =p

does this pheasant look very familiar to you? like those found in chinese paintings...
a pair of pheasants
we're not alone....the birds in our path, blocking us...are they planning an attack?

cute lil fella on the top (looks as though it can't close its beak :X)
mandarin ducks
The birds of prey were really nice but didn't have any good shots of the eagles due to my lousy phototaking skills :( and the eagles were all damn far cos their cages were HUGE.
at the lori loft =p
(another one of the many open enclosure concepts, with 1000 loris inside. with that many loris inside, you would probably think that they aren't endangered but they actually are.)
hornbills - right side features the 'boyband' hornbills, cos all line up in one line and face 1 direction LOL
2 different species of victorian crown blue pigeons. this species was the one stalking us at the fragile forest o.O
whoa. look at the relative sizes of the 2 species of storks
scarlet ibis
Overall, i must say the bird park trip was more enjoyable than the zoo trip, not only because the smell was less stinky but because there was more stuff to see. Well, frankly i ain't bird-loving person, but i guess they can be quite cute sometimes and are really intelligent! Gives a whole new impression to the term 'bird-brained'. haha!
At the end of the day, we're happy! =)
