Wahahahahha! Prawning is just absolute fun! FINALLY, we had our prawn-fishing outing on friday the 13th of July-14th and boy, was it a success! All thanks to Mr Poon who was very kind enough to drive us around ^_^
Bm came to my block to fetch me and love. the 5 of us (bm, kerenia, ker's sister (fan yuan), me and bubu) headed off to the taman jurong fishing place. when we got there, there was only 1 big pond and many people there wor. we stood there for 10++mins. Didn't see much people catch any. :/ so we decided to switch and went to the one at the old reptile park (opposite jurong birdpark)
Reached there, parked the car. Went to look around. Woot. Got 3 big ponds. And also one ge tai stage thingy, with some uncle and aunties singing all the old classics, hokkien and chinese songs. 'Happening leh!' LOL. Okay, so we decided to stay. Since all 5 of us were first-timers and newbies to this prawn-fishing thing, we were all quite blur at the beginning, don't really know what to do. So just stand and observe and try to do.

finally after almost 2hrs of wait, lady luck finally smiled at bm and he got his first prawn!
Love was having a dry spell in the center pond after his streak of owning the prawns by fishing them up in intervals of 4mins+. He says must play mind games with the prawns as well, like in dota. right....anyway, i was feeling alittle tired so i went to cast the rod at the first pond, which was not occupied at all. moved the rod left and right alittle and suddenly felt tension in the rod o.O tada!!!

my prawn is a heybee. *sobs* oh well, better than none. the prawns really have red eyes, so it isn't the camera. and they have pincers too. so it's really a hassle to remove the hook. next time must bring plier liao. there was one prawn that struggled SO hard while love was removing the hook, its pincers came off -_-" Several times, both the hooks got stuck and just won't budge. Love went to ask other people for help and they were very helpful too, help us use plier to take out. we also went to the uncle at the counter to ask him help us, he oso quite nice =)

In total we caught 20 prawns in 3hrs~ Not bad for a first time, i must say! =D Bm caught around 5/6, i caught 2, the rest were caught by love alone...smelly leh! more than half caught by him alone. aiyo....
How to BBQ live prawns...
Skewer them with satay sticks
Put over charcoal and add salt
Wait for them to cook!
Oops. Got no pictures of us eating and savoring the prawns. Too busy eating liao. Hehe! Anyway the prawns taste fantastic, especially since they were fished up by ourselves! hehe. At first we very blur and noobish. didn't know what to do with the live prawns. took it out of the water liao, bring it over the BBQ pit, dunno how to handle. wanted to go and get salt and satay sticks. luckily, the people there very kind. the guys and uncle very helpful. one guy with funky hairstyle and crystal ear stud came over (obviously a laojiao) and asked 'first time here ah?' then he told us what to do, helped us wash the prawns. (cos he saw us anyhow skewer and salt the prawn and threw into the fire w/o washing LOL)
After eating and feeling satisfied, it was almost 5am. we drove up to jurong hill for abit.

After that Bm drove us back to my place. Then love and i went to mac's for breakfast.
Woot. We want to go again! So super fun la! But very pricey on the wallet. x_x 25bucks for 1 rod for 3 hours...bah....but it was worth it ^_^
