despite the title of this entry, no, i'm still not well. ~!@#$%^&* (*oops. must watch what i say.) but yeah. the cough!!! oh man. i dun even understand what is wrong T_T~ tml gonna go see doctor again. sigh.
anyway, today's the eve of x'mas eve~ wasn't exactly in a cheery merry mood, after the long and upsetting talk with love last night and the bloody persistant cough. how to be merry i ask u? -_- tried to rush to 1st service but didn't make it in time. so love decided that we had breakfast and then go for 2nd service. after breakfast, we had some time left to walk around the supermarket. i know love tried to cheer me up lah. really appreciated ur effort baby, but i was coughing like siao la~ hard to get cheered up. the coughing got so bad, ah bu wanted to send me home liao. in the end i decided nvm, shall just go for service.
service was great. not just good, but great. uplifting to the spirits indeed. not to mention x'mas is just 2 days time. no, x'mas is not abt merry-making, the gatherings, the feast, the presents but abt the birth of Jesus Christ. I think the chorus "We are the reason that He gave His life

To show us the reason to live", can't describe this any better. =) the sermon was fantastic. really comforted me quite a whole lot. it was talking about how Saul's life had started well but ended terribly (1 SAM 28) because he had let pride get in the way, disregarded God and thus caused his own downfall. I guess it serves as a very good reminder that we should serve the Lord and not men. Not let pride harden our hearts but rather let our hearts be filled with the love of Christ.
After service, my mood was clearly so much better than before. I guess what they always say , when God decides to bless u with spiritual gifts, he doesn't give u just 1. he showers with tons! is so true. 'cause i was just hoping to go church, be in his presence, hear his word but whoosh! i got to spend rock-solid quality time with ah bu after that - which we both have been trying hard to find time but can't. After that love went to his maternal side's eldest aunt's x'mas gather and i went home. when i got home, i finally got down to reading yet another chapter of the purpose driven life and whoa. the chap i read, said exactly what i needed to hear. i dozed off shortly after reading that but woke up cos of a coughing fit. then i read ah bu's sms. i almost could not believe it. It's just damn amazing. God had made things turn out in such a way that totally blows my mind. Ha. Such a subtle way of dealing with the issue that had upset me the whole of last night and this morning. Anyway, the sms was about his maternal side aunties and uncles asking why i wasn't there at the gathering and why love didn't bring me. o.O love and i didn't even know i was asked to be there lah. ha~ and after that when love got home, he called me and the first thing he said was "i don't care ar, my 3rd aunt's x'mas lunch, die die oso i
ll bring u to be there". aww. hahaha~ i had really wanted to go to his aunt's x'mas lunch, cos she had asked me over during when i met her at the wedding dinner and she smsed love to ask me to go too. but then the stupid cough had dampened my spirits so much and even more so, after what love told me yesterday night. but now, i'll go! need to stop the stupid cough! >_< oh noes. dunno what to bring. =\ will a bottle of Chardonnay do?
woot. and tml, or rather....today...x'mas eve! how shall we celebrate? at first really not in the mood for anything except stay home lol. now i'm thinking either a homecooked dinner at my place or x'mas dinner outside and go see x'mas lights in town. most likely the former, 'cos ah bu doesn't like crowded places and i oso dun really feel like squeezing with ppl. whee~~~
