It's been ages since I last celebrated or did anything out of the usual on 八月十五. I remember the last time that i did, was during primary 6 (in 1996), where i met ling at night at the playground near both our place. Both of us carried lanterns and played with fire and candles (hoho, burnt alot of leaves). This year, after more than a decade, i finally did something on 八月十五 and it's also the FIRST time ever that i stepped into Chinese garden. lol.
Pictures alert!
the 7 storey pagoda. both of me and bubu were panting and i was especially dizzy @_@ from climbing up the spiral staircase all the way up. view of the place at the top (right). On the way back down, we went to every floor to look at the view abit, to "liah gao" and also to break the monotony of coming down straight.

One of the 8 wishing trees. (Love, Harmony, Prosperity, Bliss, Wealth, Health, Peace and darn i can't remember the last one) For some reason, many people were throwing the gold coins & ribbon at the "Peace" tree. Probably 'cause it's nearer to the booth. I wanted to try leh. Buy the thingy for 3bucks, make a wish and throw the thingy at the trees. If it stays on the tree, the wish would come true. But ah, the tree so high, i sure cant throw it so high 1 =\ Anyway, love thinks the most important tree is the "health" tree, 'cause with that everything else can be achieved.

Was hard to get a clear shot of this, 'cause there were actually people queueing up just to take picture with the shark. We wanted to take too, but too lazy to queue :X
Mermaid
Super cute gate lion! The plant behind me lah; has 2 big black eyes. Adorable leh!
Us, after lighting up the free lantern given and my mashimaro lantern was brought from home =p
Penguins and ... is that supposed to be a killer whale? lol.
Fishy!
八仙
This is supposed to be the near the main entrance; bridge with dolphins but we came in from the other gate so we saw it much later =p

Bubu's favourite exhibit. It looks much nicer in real than on photo, 'cause there's actually a mini waterfall but i dunno how to capture it on cam. =\
My favourite! Super cute bears~

We found our oh-so familiar friend. Plesiosaur~ with his other prehistoric friends. Horseshoe crab and nautilus are also part of the gang.
More prehistoric friends. But this one has a weird sound coming outta it o.O

Funky looking fish on the left
And so concludes our trip to Chinese garden. Though it was quite a pain trying to take shots of the lanterns due to the massive number of people posing at the lanterns itself and also the large number of non-local vistors irritated me quite abit, overall it was a fun trip for me =)
