met up with sihan after school at orchard for dinner. finally, we could catch up on the things we missed since we last met, which i tink was 3 months ago. :P anyway, we went to coffee club to have our dinner. we both had the pasta set meal. me really shouldn't have been so 'adventurous' and try something new. should have stuck to my garlic prawn oglio. meh.
soup of the day - cream of pumpkin
okay, i dun really like to eat pumpkin but if it's pumpkin soup, i'm really fine with it. but darn, it was really very 'pumpkinny' man! so so thick...eat until @_@
sihan's baked chicken cream penne
i thought it was nice and serving very big wor!
my smoked salmon garlic cream linguini
i felt that it was alright lah, 'cept the capsicum were uncooked, i didn't even touch them.
we stayed at coffee club from 7 and chatted till 11+pm! Didn't realise we had so many things to catch up on. haha~ we talked about life, work, school. and i learnt that she also likes fei lun hai such that she pulled her 2 best friends to imm with her when they came to sg. she was telling an incident which she encountered in the washroom that day.
There was a long queue at the female washroom. (IMM was jam-packed with fei lun hai fans that day, mostly females and esp. xiao mei meis)
The cleaner auntie was asking one of the xiao mei mei: "今天有谁来啊?"
Xiao Meimei (obviously a fei lun hai fan) answers enthusiastically:"oh, 飞轮海 lor!! :D"
Cleaner Auntie (curiously):"Huh? 飞轮海啊? 不是5566?"
Xiao Meimei (looking somewhat irritated):"5566是谁?"
Dang. LOL. i found it quite hilarious sia. This is what we call 喜新厌旧.
woke up at 12 plus today. lurfu was still sleeping la~ such a piggy! :X so i called him and woke him up. he popped over to my place and we went to holland v's crystal jade for lunch :) we ordered quite abit of food, like
Sze chuan chicken - nice but would've been better if it were alittle more spicy
Pork rib ramen
The Must-have Xiao Long Bao :D
Spicy Pork dumpling and beef ~yum
after all that, we paid and left crystal jade. headed for swensens for dessert.
Fries~ (sad ah, i remember the fries used to be crinklecut huh..why become str8 liao?)
Topless 5!
seems like quite a familiar sight. i tink we ate this b4, few months back. and i realised my camera auto-glow the 2 pictures sia. my hp camera sucks T_T oh, actually while we were at swensens right, our topless 5 icecream was served first. but because we ordered fries and we didn't want to eat the icecream before finishing the fries, we asked the senior manager (probably boss even, we won't know but he was the one who called the shots there) whether he could help us refrigerate the ice cream 'cause we wanted to finish our fries first. Without the slightest hesitation, he immediately said "Sure, no problem!" and he placed our topless 5 into the fridge with the see through door, together with the cakes and he went to the back of the resturant to do accounts i think. then, the waiters saw the topless 5 in the fridge. they looked quite shocked and surprised. then another manager came and also saw it. Suddenly there was a commotion amongst the staff about the topless 5 being in the fridge. Oops. Then love hurried told the manager that it was the OTHER manager who put it there. Oh, immediately commotion resolved, though they were still quite bothered by the ice cream being in there. so they took it out and i dunno do what with it -_-x but when we finished our fries, they gave us a new freshly scooped topless 5... :X
after dessert, we went to cold storage. finally we found the place that sold the frozen escargots with the tray. but it's at an awfully steep price of $18.65. i then remembered that ling told me b4 that there was a place at holland v, opposite cold storage that sells kitchen and baking ware. so we crossed the road. weird leh, didn't see any shops there except POSB and F.O.S. so we went up to 2nd floor to F.O.S. we wanted to go up another level, to the 3rd floor but the security lady told us nicely that there wasn't anything there. lol. then love asked her about whether there was any bakery nearby. (actually should be shop selling baking ware and NOT bakery) to our surprise, the lady said "Yeah yeah, there is." and she brought us to a obscured lane BEHIND the POSB. wah. one lane of shops totally hidden from the main road. AND *DING DING DING* bingo! the bakery was 2 shops away from the place that we wanted to find! hehe~
We stepped into Pantry Magic. Woo. Nicely decorated! Sells all the kitchen ware and baking stuff. PLUS, we finally found our snail tray T_T but it was damn ex la! $18.60! Holds 12. They also sell cooking books. Pretty nice place. Me like :)
After that i told love i wanted to go see the bakery. So we did. Wow. The place is called Da Paolo's Gastronomia. Woot. sells alot of mouth-watering and deliciously looking pizza. it also has very special bread like olive focaccia, yummy looking chocolate & raisin scones, cupcakes and icecream! the icecream flavours are few but really unusual. like black sesame ice cream, strawberry yogurt, cheese gelato etc..woot. It even sells fresh pasta and sauce to go with it~ their cakes look really darn yummy too! like black forest cake, flourless chocolate cake O_O means what? 100% chocolate! OMG~ Okay, but here's the catch: the prices are also quite 'special'. T_T Darn, we was broke from eating so much and buying the snail tray that we couldn't afford to buy the olive focaccia :( sad-ed. oh well, there's always next time, when i'm not so broke.
what an afternoon, me had lots of fun today. hee ^_^ (took darn long to finish writing the entry) shall go try to eat some dinner now. i'm still too full from all that food! haha~
