Mm. kinda wanna go UCLA summer programme. but 7.5k! haiz. no gold :(
wonder how is everyone's new year visiting coming along. seriously every chinese new year just gets more and more quiet and sian. -.-" but nevertheless, it's still nice to see and catch up with relatives at least once a year.
kinda been very long since i last saw all my maternal cousins, aunts and uncles. even the 2 cousins that i have been so close with since young, i think the last time i met their was on the reunion dinner day. but things are still cool between us i guess. we're still the funny trio that we have always been since young. haha! im really quite impressed at how much one of them has changed. she's the same age as me which kind of sucks at times when my mom brings her up and compare us both. zzz. she's already working now, whereas im STILL studying. sigh. she used to be the selfish, arrogant brat who's rude to absolutely anyone and everyone whom she feels like being rude to. never seemed to care much for anyone except herself and was always mean to her younger sister. although i must admit that sometimes i can be a selfish and arrogant brat myself, but beside her, im just mild. but now she has changed so so much! it's just amazing. she isnt all that rude now. her younger sister is her best buddy now. and she gave my grandma a red packet! (she's not married yet but she's working) O_O?! she still does have her weird quirks here and then but wow. the change is really 360 degrees. =\ as for me and her younger sister, we're both still pretty much the same - i think we resist change alot.
on friday, the biochem practical was long. not because the experiment was long. but because people from OTHER groups inconsiderately came to OUR area of the lab and HOGGED the spectrophotometers. yep, my TA got quite buay song but there was clearly nothing he could do. so we just waited till the spectros were free and had some "small talk". One of the topics was about Profs, how they are always not what they seem. During lecture they can be very nice, but at the lab, esp. when u're doing project, they can be demanding as hell and have really high expectations. i realised my TA is really very bright. -_-x he's completing his masters in june and his cap is close to 5. wth O_O and he wants to do LAW degree after his masters. he also likes to crap with us. one guy from my pract group, ben, was rushing thru the pract cos he needed to go teach tuition. so he asked my TA when can finish, then my TA, as usual full of crap, answered "why leh? where u rushing off to? Go queue for Bak Kua issit?" Wah kao. after he said that everyone nearby laugh till pengz la! lol
after our LONG lab session (normally we're the 1st grp to finish de, but that day become last grp -_-), 7 of us (3 guys and 4 gals from our pract grp) went to have lunch together at science canteen. though i was in the same bio d pract class as them last sem, i hardly talked to them much. so weird huh, only this sem thru biochem then we talked alot more. actually i felt very bad 'cause i didnt know amanda n elayna waited for me after pract but i already agreed to have lunch with the practmates -_-x but i guess the gals understand ba. due to lack of bigger seats, the 3 guys had to share 1 bench that was made for 2 ppl. lol :X then we gals very evil, still joke say later the bench break. haha! hmm, having lunch with them kind of reminds me of poly days. where a clique of larger than 5 having lunch together was a norm. but in uni, it was a damn rare sight. somehow ppl in uni just either travel alone, in pairs or 3 as a max. even the seats in the canteen are made for 1-4 ppl nia. what is this -_-" very sad if u ask me. man, im just very thankful for our clique of 5. ^_^
